Many people buy incense because they feel that it will bring on a special blessing or favor. Others buy it simply because they like the fragrance and use it as a natural air freshener, rather than spraying something that may contain artificial ingredients. Other people practice a religion where the burning of incense is part of the ritual, both when they are worshiping publicly and in their private worship.
In those states where K2 products are still legal, when you go to purchase one of the many types, you are technically going to buy another form of incense. The only difference between it and ordinary incense is that some K2 products have had synthetic chemicals added to them.
These chemicals do have the propensity to cause some people to feel some effects. That is because the receptors in the brain that respond to the THC in marijuana act in the same or a similar way to the chemicals in K2 products. Again, not everyone is affected, and those who are may not feel the same effects.
Just as some people burn incense to evoke a special blessing or other happening, some K2 incense users do so to achieve a deeper state of meditation. Again, this happens to some people, but not to others. And, some K2 incense products contain no synthetic chemicals at all.
Just as with regular incense, when you go to buy K2 incense, you have a wide selection to choose from. There are incenses that have been manufactured with women in mind, and the aromas are those that the manufacturers feel women enjoy the most. These include vanilla and citrus, as well as others.
There are incenses that have a more "woody" smell. The manufacturers of these feel that men, especially those who like the outdoors, may enjoy the aromas that these incense products give off.
There is even one K2 incense product sold that contains an ingredient that is said to have the ability to act as an aphrodisiac. This product is aptly named "Horny Goat Weed". Again, it may have this effect on some people, while others merely enjoy its smell.
It cannot be stressed enough, however, that K2 smoke are intended for just that purposeas incense. They are not intended to be smoked, consumed (eaten or drunk) inhaled or injected into the body. They are only to be used in proper incense burners or potpourri burners, so that the pleasant fragrance can waft throughout a room or area.
As with things such as tobacco and alcohol, the decision to buy K2 be a personal one. You should not be coerced into buying or using K2 products, and you should not buy K2 incense for someone whom you feel is not capable of making a mature decision (for example, a minor.)
If K2 incense does have an effect on you, you should take care not to injure yourself or others while you are feeling the effects. And, again, you should use K2 incense only as incense. That's what the manufacturers intended it to be used for, and nothing else.
Just as some people do not enjoy smelling any type of incense, there are some who do not wish to be around when K2 incense is being burned. This is fine, and their wishes should be respected. If you are burning K2 incense in the privacy of your home, and someone comes there, you should be courteous and tell them that's what you are doing. If they do not wish to participate, and it is someone you would like to stay, you should extinguish the incense and allow the aroma and smoke to dissipate before inviting that person in.
